Who we are
Manufacturing Toolkit is built by the team behind CAD Exchanger — a developer-first CAD SDK used by hundreds of engineering teams and embedded in platforms reaching over 1 million end users worldwide.
The company was founded by Roman Lygin, a veteran of the CAD/CAM/CAE industry. Before launching his own venture, Roman worked at Matra Datavision and Open CASCADE — the birthplace of the Open CASCADE kernel — and later at Intel.
His deep background in geometric modeling and engineering platforms continues to shape how we build MTK: with precision, developer empathy, and a love for great architecture.
Why we built MTK
Over the years, we noticed a pattern. Many users of CAD Exchanger SDK were building internal quoting tools, manufacturability checkers, or geometry-driven workflows — often from scratch.
That’s when we realized the world needed something better: a toolkit specifically designed for digital manufacturing.
The first lines of MTK code were written back in 2016, inspired by real needs we encountered in the field. The product took shape over time and was launched in 2021 — built on years of experience and close collaboration with engineering teams.
MTK was born out of those needs — and out of everything we learned while helping real engineering teams do real work.
How we work
We’re a small but focused team of 45+ engineers, designers, product people, marketers, sales, and support — all under one roof. Everything you see in MTK is built, documented, and supported in-house.
We design our APIs. We write the docs. We test the builds. We help customers debug their integrations.
MTK is not a brand exercise. It’s our craft.
