Non perpendicular hole DFM check
Non perpendicular hole overview
The non-perpendicular hole issue in CNC machining drilling design occurs when a hole is drilled at an angle that is not exactly 90 degrees to the surface of the workpiece. Non-perpendicular holes can lead to poor fitting, loose connections, and reduced structural strength.
How MTK detects non perpendicular holes
MTK automatically analyzes B-Rep CAD models for non perpendicular holes. The SDK checks the relevant geometry against DFM criteria to identify potential issues that can increase manufacturing complexity or cost, or lead to quality or assembly problems.
Documentation and API reference
Detailed API reference for the non perpendicular hole DFM check is provided in the MTK documentation, including issue classes, detection interfaces, and integration details.
