Non symmetrical axial slot DFM check
Non symmetrical axial slot overview
An axial slot is a pocket on a turning face to which mechanical components can be attached to.
When designing a part for CNC machining turning it's necessary to take into account possible problems of coupling with other parts. For instance, one of them is wrong part alignment which can be a result of asymmetrical about turn-axis width of the slots.
How MTK detects non symmetrical axial slots
MTK automatically analyzes B-Rep CAD models for non symmetrical axial slots. The SDK checks the relevant geometry against DFM criteria to identify potential issues that can increase manufacturing complexity or cost, or lead to quality or assembly problems.
Documentation and API reference
Detailed API reference for the non symmetrical axial slot DFM check is provided in the MTK documentation, including issue classes, detection interfaces, and integration details.
