Flattened hem bends
Flattened hem bend overview
A flattened hem bend is a bend in which the part of the edge that bends sits completely flush over the rest of the metal sheet. The angle between the returning flange and the sheet metal is 180 degrees.
How MTK recognizes flattened hem bends
MTK automatically recognizes flattened hem bends in B-Rep CAD models and extracts their manufacturing-relevant parameters. The recognized feature data can be used for automated quoting, DFM analysis, and manufacturing workflows.
Documentation and API reference
Detailed API reference for flattened hem bend feature recognition is provided in the MTK documentation, including feature classes and integration details.
