Notch overview
Notches are the inward cut from the edge of sheet metal with a measured angle suitable for a particular application. Notching is done either with a simple cutting or punching process.

A notch has the following basic parameters:
- Width.
- Length.
How MTK recognizes notches
MTK automatically recognizes notches in B-Rep CAD models and extracts their manufacturing-relevant parameters. The recognized feature data can be used for automated quoting, DFM analysis, and manufacturing workflows.
