Rope hem bend overview
A rope hem bend is a bend in which the returning flange is bent more than 180 degrees. Once the hem achieves the shape of an open hem, the returning flange is pressed onto the part surface through a flattening die.
How MTK recognizes rope hem bends
MTK automatically recognizes rope hem bends in B-Rep CAD models and extracts their manufacturing-relevant parameters. The recognized feature data can be used for automated quoting, DFM analysis, and manufacturing workflows.
Documentation and API reference
Detailed API reference for rope hem bend feature recognition is provided in the MTK documentation, including feature classes and integration details.
