Stepped holes
Stepped hole overview
A stepped hole is a a machined hole with two or more sections of different diameters, aligned along the same axis. It combines simple holes and countersinks into a single feature, typically created through drilling, counterboring, and countersinking operations.
How MTK recognizes stepped holes
MTK automatically recognizes stepped holes in B-Rep CAD models and extracts their manufacturing-relevant parameters. The recognized feature data can be used for automated quoting, DFM analysis, and manufacturing workflows.
Documentation and API reference
Detailed API reference for stepped hole feature recognition is provided in the MTK documentation, including feature classes and integration details.
